Every name in your portfolio shows the same holder: our company. Renewals come from one crypto balance, at one price per extension.

**Quick answer — Can I hold a domain portfolio in a company's name instead of mine?**

Yes. **NomineeName** holds every domain of your portfolio in the name of DomaineGoat LLC, so the registrant record and WHOIS/RDAP show one company on every name, never you. As of October 2026, a .com costs **$12.99/year**, the same to renew and transfer, with nominee registration included. One crypto balance pays for all of it. No ID, no KYC.

## Why hold a portfolio in a nominee's name?

Because a holder's name links names together. When the same person holds many domains, one lookup can lead to the rest. Buyers, competitors and brand owners all look. Three reasons come up most:

- **Negotiation**: a buyer who knows who holds a name may guess your price, or see what else you own.
- **Exposure**: individuals' data is usually redacted for generic extensions. But the registrar still stores it, and so do registries that keep contact data; some country codes publish the name: .fi always, .nz even with privacy, .cc in some records.
- **Mixed holdings**: when some names are in your name and some behind a privacy service, the pattern itself can identify you.

In our model, every name shows the same company. A lookup of one domain says nothing about the others, or about you.

## How do renewals work on a large portfolio?

One yearly price per extension, the same for registration, renewal and transfer. That matters more for a portfolio than for a single name. Some registrars sell .xyz, .online, .shop, .site or .store at 1 or 2 dollars for the first year, below the registry's own cost. The renewal then jumps. On hundreds of names, that jump decides whether a portfolio pays for itself.

Renewals are paid from your prepaid balance. Turn on auto-renew per domain, or renew by hand. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers. When a purchase costs less than the minimum top-up, the part added only to reach the minimum is refundable on request to support within 30 days of the payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it has not been spent. The rest of the balance is not paid back, except where the law requires it.

## How to move an existing portfolio into our name

1. **Sort the names** — Set aside extensions we cannot hold, such as .us, .eu or .ca (list). Also wait for names registered or transferred in the last 60 days.
2. **Keep DNS outside the old registrar** — If your parking or DNS runs at the old registrar, move it to a DNS host you control first.
3. **Unlock and collect codes** — Remove the transfer lock on each name and export the auth codes.
4. **Top up once** — Top up enough balance for the batch. Transfers of generic extensions add one year to each name; a .ai transfer is billed 2 years and adds 2; for other country codes and .io, .co or .me, it depends on the registry.
5. **Transfer in batches** — Start the transfers from your account. Once each name arrives, its registrant becomes our company. Guide: move a domain into our name.

## How do I sell a domain held in your name?

Usually by transfer. Agree the sale with the buyer, settle payment through the escrow you trust, then give the buyer the transfer code. The buyer's registrar records the buyer as registrant. Our company leaves the record at that point.

Two details to plan for:

- **The 60-day lock**: after the transfer, ICANN rules stop the buyer from moving the name again for 60 days.
- **Your proof of control**: before payment, a buyer may ask you to prove control. Add a DNS record they choose; that works whoever the registrant is.

## What are the risks for a portfolio?

Trademarks and abuse rules apply to every name, held by us or not.

- **UDRP**: a name that matches a brand can face a UDRP complaint. It names our company as registrant. We notify you and you can defend yourself. Panels often name the beneficial owner in the decision.
- **Linked-domain checks**: in January 2026, ICANN's GNSO started a policy process on associated domain checks. It could require registrars to review other domains of the same account or infrastructure when one is malicious. Keep every name clean.
- **Abuse**: phishing, malware, botnets and fraud that takes money from victims are acted on within 24 hours of a well-documented report. Other complaints need a Panamanian court decision. See the [abuse policy](https://nomineename.com/abuse/).

## Frequently asked questions

### Is there a limit to how many domains I can hold in your name?

We publish no limit. Each domain is registered in the name of DomaineGoat LLC and appears in your account. One verified email covers the contact rule. Very large batches are easier to plan with support, especially for transfers.

### Can a reverse WHOIS search link my domains together?

Not through the holder name. Every domain we hold shows the same company, so a search on that registrant is not specific to you. Other signals stay public on any domain, such as nameservers or hosting. Vary them if that matters.

### Do premium names cost the standard price?

No. Registry premium names, such as some .xyz or two-letter .me names, are priced by the registry. The client area shows that price before you pay. Our standard price applies to the other names.

### Can I hand a single name back to a buyer's details?

The usual path is a transfer: give the buyer the code and let their registrar record them. That keeps your account separate from the buyer. The hand-back puts a domain in your own name, as beneficial owner.

### What happens if one of my domains gets a complaint?

It is checked against the abuse policy, and with Domain protection a person reads it before any action. A copyright, defamation or competitor complaint alone does not lead to a takedown; it needs a decision that binds us, from a Panamanian court. Phishing, malware, botnets and fraud are acted on within 24 hours of a well-documented report. A trademark claim follows the UDRP, where you can answer.

### Can I pay renewals for hundreds of names at once?

Yes, from your balance. Top up once in crypto, then renew each name or switch on auto-renew. Keep enough balance before your renewal dates. Send the exact amount on the exact network; it is credited once the network confirms it.
