Quick answer
What data does NomineeName collect?
As of 19 October 2026, the only personal detail you give NomineeName is 1 verified email per domain: mandatory, kept private, never published and never sent to the registry. No ID, no KYC, no name, no postal address, no phone number. Like any website, our servers also handle IP addresses. The registrant record holds the details of DomaineGoat LLC instead of yours.
Your data in brief
| Personal data we ask for | One verified email per domain, mandatory |
|---|---|
| Why | ICANN requires a working contact, verified within 15 days of a registration, transfer or change |
| Published in WHOIS/RDAP | No: the company's details are shown |
| Sent to the registry | No: registries that keep contact data receive DomaineGoat LLC's details; the .com and .net registries receive none |
| ID document, selfie, ID number | Never asked |
| Name, postal address, phone | Never asked |
| Card or bank details | None: crypto only (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC) |
| Mail sent to the domain's contact | forwarded to your verified email; spam and bulk mail are not forwarded |
| Who can obtain it | Only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case |
| Technical data | IP addresses handled by our servers to deliver pages and fight abuse, kept for a short time (privacy policy) |
What we hold, and why
| What | Why we hold it | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| One verified email per domain | ICANN requires a contact that answers. We use it for receipts, renewal and dispute notices, and relayed mail. | Us only. Never the registry, never WHOIS/RDAP. |
| Your domains and their settings | Nameservers, DNS records, transfer lock and renewals: the service cannot run without them. | Nameservers, dates and status are public in RDAP for every domain, as on any registrar. |
| Your balance and top-ups | Coin, network, amount and date of each top-up, and what the balance paid for. | Us only. The payment itself is on a public blockchain, as every crypto payment is. |
| Support conversations | To answer you and keep track of a request. | Us only. |
What does NomineeName never collect?
We never ask for identity data, because the registry never needs yours. NomineeName is a nominee domain registration service from Panama: every domain is registered in the name of DomaineGoat LLC by default, so the registration record and WHOIS show the company, never you — no ID, no KYC, paid in crypto.
We never ask for:
- an ID document, a passport, a driving licence or a selfie;
- an ID or tax number, or a date of birth;
- your name, postal address or phone number;
- card or bank details: payment is in crypto only.
This holds on every extension we sell, including those whose registry demands a holder's name and postal address, such as .de, .uk, .nl or .ch. Those registries receive the company's name and address, not yours.
Why does NomineeName need an email at all?
Because ICANN rules require a contact that works. Under the Whois Accuracy Program Specification of the Registrar Accreditation Agreement, a contact must be verified within 15 days of a registration, a transfer or a change of contact. Without verification, the domain can be suspended.
We ask for that email and nothing else. It does not need to carry your name: a separate address used only for your domains is fine. Keep it working, because it is where we send renewal reminders, dispute notices and mail relayed from your domain's public contact.
What does the registry receive when you register a domain?
Registries that keep contact data, such as those of .org, .io, .de or .uk, receive the details of DomaineGoat LLC, the registrant of record, and the technical data every domain needs: nameservers and DNS security settings. The .com and .net registries (Verisign) are thin: they receive the technical data only, and the registrar keeps the registrant record, here our company's. Your email is not part of any of it.
In our model, the registration data describes our company. This is the difference with ordinary WHOIS privacy, where the customer's real data sits behind a mask at the registrar, and at the registry when it keeps contact data. You can check what a registry shows with an RDAP lookup on lookup.icann.org.
What payment data does NomineeName keep?
We keep the record of each top-up: coin, network, amount and date, and what your balance paid for. Payment is in crypto only: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. You send the exact amount on the exact network; it is matched by its exact amount and credited once the network confirms it.
A blockchain is public. Anyone who knows a transaction can see it, whoever the merchant is. Pay from a wallet you control, and read pay with crypto before your first top-up. Domain prices are on the pricing page.
Who can obtain the data we hold?
DomaineGoat LLC releases the data it holds only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case. Letters from lawyers or foreign authorities that have not gone through Panama are refused.
This rule is the same with or without the Domain protection option ($29 per year per domain). With the option, minimal data becomes part of the domain's terms: DomaineGoat LLC holds only your email. The full rules are in the disclosure policy, and your legal rights in the privacy policy.
Data we collect: FAQ
Can I use an email address that does not show my name?
Yes. The email must work and be verified, because ICANN requires a contact that answers. It does not need your name. Many customers use a separate address only for their domains. Keep it active: renewal reminders, dispute notices and relayed mail all go there, and an unreachable contact can lead to suspension.
Is my email ever shown in WHOIS or RDAP?
No. WHOIS and RDAP show the details of DomaineGoat LLC, the registrant of record. Your email is never published and never sent to the registry. Mail that people send to the domain's public contact is forwarded to your verified email; spam and bulk mail are not forwarded.
Do I need a different email for each domain?
No. The rule is one verified email per domain, not a new address per domain. You can use the same verified email for all your domains, or different ones if you prefer to keep projects apart. Each email used must pass the verification ICANN requires.
Can I have my data deleted?
Yes, once you no longer hold domains with us. While a domain is registered, its verified email must stay on file, because ICANN requires a working contact. When you transfer your domains out or let them expire, write to support from the verified email to ask for deletion. Some records may have to be kept where the law requires it.
Do you sell or share my email?
No. We do not sell it, rent it or use it for advertising. It is not sent to the registry. It leaves us only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case, as set out in the disclosure policy.
What changes when I take the domain back in my own name?
Then the registry receives your details as holder, because you become the registrant. The hand-back is free, on request to support from your verified email address, where the registry accepts you. Before you ask for it, check what that registry publishes about holders: some, like .fi or .nz, publish more than others.
