Quick answer
Can I register a .de domain in your company's name?
Yes: you can register a .de domain in our name at NomineeName. The registrant is DomaineGoat LLC, incorporated in Panama, so the registrant record and WHOIS/RDAP show the company, never you. As of October 2026, .de costs $10.99/year, nominee registration included. No ID, no KYC — only a verified email, kept private — and you pay in crypto.

Who registers .de in a company's name?
A .de is the extension for the German market, one of the largest country codes in the world. Foreign sellers, freelancers and German-speaking projects want one. Many hesitate because a .de registration asks for a holder's name and postal address. Registered in our name, DENIC receives our company's address, not yours.
What the .de registry receives, what WHOIS shows, what we keep
| Who | What they get for your .de domain |
|---|---|
| DENIC eG | DomaineGoat LLC as holder, with the company's address. Nothing about you. |
| Public WHOIS / RDAP | The company as registrant, or fields the registry redacts. Never your name. |
| NomineeName | Your verified email and your orders. The email never goes to the registry. |
| You | Beneficial owner: DNS, renewals and the transfer code (free, from your account, at any time). |
What does the .de registry ask of a holder?
DENIC eG runs .de. It is open to holders worldwide, with one condition. A holder not domiciled in Germany must name a German authorised representative for service of documents if DENIC asks, within two weeks. Some registrars demand a German admin contact up front. DENIC removed the admin contact and personal data from public WHOIS in 2018. On a NomineeName .de, the holder DENIC knows is our company, in Panama. A request about an authorised representative would concern that holder, not you.
What should you check before registering .de?
- One year at a time: .de is registered and renewed for one year per order.
- NIS2: EU rules now push registries to verify holder data. Under nominee registration, the data checked is our company's.
- Hand-back: anyone may hold a .de, but a non-German holder must be ready to name a representative in Germany on request.

Frequently asked questions
Can I register a .de without a German address?
Yes. DENIC accepts holders from any country. A foreign holder must name a German authorised representative only if DENIC asks. With NomineeName, our company is the holder, so your own address never reaches DENIC, German or not.
What does DENIC publish about a .de holder?
Since 2018, DENIC no longer publishes personal data in its public WHOIS. It still stores the holder's name and address. On a .de registered in our name, the stored holder is our company. Your details stay in your NomineeName account: one verified email.
Can I take my .de back in my own name later?
Yes, free, on request. DENIC then receives your name and postal address as holder. If you live outside Germany, DENIC may ask you to name an authorised representative in Germany. Keeping the .de in our name avoids that question.
Who owns a .de domain held in your name?
DomaineGoat LLC is the registrant of record and you are the beneficial owner, under a written agreement in our terms. Your transfer code: free, from your account, at any time. The hand-back of the .de name to you is free, on request to support from your verified email address. It works where the registry accepts you as holder.
Can a complaint take my .de domain down?
Not on its own: copyright, defamation, political or competitor complaints need a decision from a Panamanian court. The strict exceptions have fixed delays: phishing, malware, botnets and fraud that takes money from victims within 24 hours of a well-documented report, child sexual abuse material immediately. See the abuse policy.
