OrangeWebsite alternative for domains

OrangeWebsite is an Icelandic host that sells domains, takes Monero and asks only for an email. Its pages do not say who holds the domains it sells. NomineeName answers that question first: our company does, on every domain.

Quick answer

Which service can replace OrangeWebsite for a domain?

An OrangeWebsite alternative for domains should state who holds the domain. NomineeName does: DomaineGoat LLC, a Panamanian company, is the registrant of record on every domain, and you are the beneficial owner. A .com is $12.99 against OrangeWebsite's €18.90, as of 19 October 2026. OrangeWebsite accepts Monero; NomineeName does not.

Who holds a domain bought from OrangeWebsite?

OrangeWebsite does not say on its own pages. The domain section of its site returned an error page during our research. Its home page speaks of minimum information, not of who the registrant is. That leaves two possibilities: the company holds the domain, or you do with a privacy mask. Each has very different effects on ownership.

If this matters to you, ask OrangeWebsite in writing before you buy, and keep the answer. Our registrant-of-record index explains how to read the record yourself after purchase.

Why choose NomineeName over OrangeWebsite for a domain?

NomineeName is a nominee domain registration service from Panama: every domain is registered in the name of DomaineGoat LLC by default, so the registration record and WHOIS show the company, never you — no ID, no KYC, paid in crypto.

  • The holder is written down. You are the beneficial owner under our terms. A hand-back to your own name is free, on request to support from your verified email address. This works where the registry accepts you as holder.
  • A rule on our own site. Data only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case; see the disclosure policy. OrangeWebsite's Icelandic rule comes from a forum post, not its pages.
  • Lower prices on the six extensions above, from .com to .io, as of 8 October 2026.
  • Address-heavy extensions. The .de, .uk and .nl registries receive our company's address, not yours. See .de.

Where does OrangeWebsite do better?

Choose OrangeWebsite if you need one of these:

  • Monero or Bitcoin Cash. It lists both. NomineeName does not take XMR or BCH.
  • Hosting with the domain. OrangeWebsite sells hosting; NomineeName sells domains only.
  • Icelandic jurisdiction. If you prefer Iceland's courts to Panama's, that is a fair reason.

For hosting elsewhere, point your NomineeName domain's nameservers to any host from your account.

How do I move a domain from OrangeWebsite?

Ask OrangeWebsite for the transfer (EPP) code and to unlock the domain. Top up your NomineeName balance in crypto from $25, then start the transfer from your account. Your hosting can stay at OrangeWebsite: only the registration moves. See move a domain into our name.

OrangeWebsite alternative: FAQ

Is OrangeWebsite a domain registrar?

OrangeWebsite is an Icelandic hosting company that also sells domains, with a public price list. Its pages we read do not say which accredited registrar it uses or who becomes the registrant of record. NomineeName is not an accredited registrar either: domains are registered through our ICANN-accredited registrar partner, shown in RDAP, in the name of DomaineGoat LLC.

Is NomineeName cheaper than OrangeWebsite?

On the six extensions we compared, NomineeName's price is lower, as of 8 October 2026. A .com is $12.99 here and €18.90 at OrangeWebsite; a .io is $54.99 here and €92.00 there. Both charge one yearly price. See every extension on our pricing page.

Does NomineeName accept Monero like OrangeWebsite?

No. NomineeName accepts BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. OrangeWebsite lists BTC, LTC, ETH, BCH and XMR, through the processors BitPay and CoinPayments. If Monero is required, OrangeWebsite, Njalla and 1984 Hosting accept it, per their own pages on 8 October 2026. At NomineeName, you send the exact amount on the exact network shown at checkout.

What data does each one ask for?

OrangeWebsite says it asks only for a valid email address. NomineeName asks for one verified email per domain, as ICANN requires a working contact. It is kept private and never sent to the registry. Neither asks for an ID document in the sources we checked. No ID, no KYC — only a verified email, kept private.

Which court can order my data released?

At NomineeName, a Panamanian court or prosecutor: we release the data we hold only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case. For OrangeWebsite, a 2025 forum post reports an Icelandic court order rule; we found no page of its own stating it.
