Quick answer
Can I register a .cloud domain in your company's name?
Yes: you can register a .cloud domain in our name at NomineeName. The registrant is DomaineGoat LLC, incorporated in Panama, so the registrant record and WHOIS/RDAP show the company, never you. As of October 2026, .cloud costs $23.99/year, nominee registration included. No ID, no KYC — only a verified email, kept private — and you pay in crypto.

Who registers .cloud in a company's name?
A .cloud is used by cloud services, SaaS products and hosting providers. A small hosting business often starts as one administrator with a few servers. Registering the .cloud in our name keeps the administrator's identity out of the registry record. Customers still see your brand on the site.
What the .cloud registry receives, what WHOIS shows, what we keep
| Who | What they get for your .cloud domain |
|---|---|
| ARUBA PEC S.p.A. | DomaineGoat LLC as holder, with the company's address. Nothing about you. |
| Public WHOIS / RDAP | The company as registrant, or fields the registry redacts. Never your name. |
| NomineeName | Your verified email and your orders. The email never goes to the registry. |
| You | Beneficial owner: DNS, renewals and the transfer code (free, from your account, at any time). |
What does the .cloud registry ask of a holder?
ARUBA PEC S.p.A., an Italian company, runs .cloud under an ICANN registry agreement. There are no eligibility rules. The registry receives our company as registrant. Being an Italian registry operator does not make .cloud an EU-only extension: the residence rules of .it do not apply to .cloud. That is why we can hold a .cloud but not a .it.
What should you check before registering .cloud?
- No IDN: .cloud does not take accented characters.
- Abuse: hosting domains attract reports. Botnets and malware lead to suspension on a well-documented report; other complaints need a Panamanian court decision.
- Term: 1 to 10 years per order.
- Hand-back: anyone may hold a .cloud, so you can take it in your own name or your company's name, free, on request.

Frequently asked questions
Is .cloud an Italian or EU-only extension?
No. Its registry operator, ARUBA PEC S.p.A., is Italian, but .cloud is a generic extension under ICANN rules, open to anyone. The EU residence rule of .it does not apply. See extensions we cannot hold for .it itself.
Can I run a hosting company on a .cloud in your name?
Yes. You manage DNS, nameservers and renewals from your account. The optional Domain protection keeps a transfer lock on and confirms every DNS change from the account. That helps when a domain carries customer services.
Does .cloud support DNSSEC?
Yes. Our data shows a DS record for .cloud in the root zone, so you can sign the zone with DNSSEC. Set the DS record from your account if your DNS host supports signing.
Who owns a .cloud domain held in your name?
DomaineGoat LLC is the registrant of record and you are the beneficial owner, under a written agreement in our terms. Your transfer code: free, from your account, at any time. The hand-back of the .cloud name to you is free, on request to support from your verified email address. It works where the registry accepts you as holder.
Can a complaint take my .cloud domain down?
Not on its own: copyright, defamation, political or competitor complaints need a decision from a Panamanian court. The strict exceptions have fixed delays: phishing, malware, botnets and fraud that takes money from victims within 24 hours of a well-documented report, child sexual abuse material immediately. See the abuse policy.
